In the late '70s, one of my Sheroes, Althea Gibson, would visit the Sportsmen’s Tennis Club to teach the women on the tour. It was the only Black-owned club at the time.

63 years ago today, 4 Black college students sat at a whites-only lunch counter at Woolworth's in Greensboro, NC.
In doing so, they inspired thousands to stand up & march for equality.

Almost 76 years ago, he broke baseball's color barrier & forever changed the game.
His bravery, perseverance, & talent carried him through tremendous obstacles, & to honor him, #MLB retired #42 for all teams.
